Josh Kerman
I started taking photos on hikes, mainly to document what I saw and look things up later. At first, it was bugs, animals, anything I didn’t recognize. That curiosity pulled me deeper into photography. Over time, I began to see more and to want more control over how I captured and shared what I found.
Now, I’m especially drawn to macro photography and mammals. There’s something rewarding about catching fine details or a fleeting glance, then bringing those moments to life through post. I still shoot landscapes now and then, but they come second to what’s crawling, climbing, or hiding in plain sight.
I shoot with a Canon R7 and rotate between several lenses, depending on the shot. I enjoy the post-process just as much as being in the field, whether it’s refining a still image or shaping a quick reel for social.
